How do you register for the VayaCard what? is the cost?

To obtain the card, please click on the registration link and follow the straightforward steps to receive the ticket via email. The card is available in digital format and can be registered from any location worldwide. It costs a one-time fee of $5 and remains valid for one year.

How do i get the card?

This card is solely available in digital form and can be accessed through your mobile phone. After payment, it will lead you back to the website where your personal card is waiting, with the option to download it. We recommend just to be safe to also take a screenshot of the card.

Will it really save me money on the trip?

Oh yea!, it seems like travelers effortlessly save money. Within one use the cost of the card already pays for itself, from here you start saving.

Is the card loaded?

No, it is a digital discount card that is displayed directly from your mobile phone.

Where can I use the card?

On the left-hand side of the menu, you can view a comprehensive list of all business owners in South America and Central America who accept the card. Remember to check regularly for updates and new business owners. 

Are there any restrictions on the card? Important to read!

The discount provided by the card is only for the person who owns it. So, everyone should have their own card to get the discount. To get the discount, you need to contact the business owner directly, and not go through a middleman. If you book through Booking, Hostelworld, Viator or Get Your Guide it counts as using a middleman, and the business owner won’t give a discount in that case. 

How do we choose the discounts?

The businesses on our website were recommended by other travelers. We don’t make the business owners pay any fees. They can only join the discount card program if they get recommended by our travelers.

How do you use the card and how do you get the discounts?

It is advisable to find out with the business owners what their price is before presenting the card, the business owners are required to give you the discount from the cheapest price available and by ordering directly through them. You can check the price on WhatsApp, at the reception, on the website of the business or on the booking website. It is important to show the card before receiving the service or checking in at the hostel. 

If I ordered on a booking site or through an intermediary?

Check if it is possible to cancel the order on the broker’s website and contact the business owner directly. If you booked on Booking or a similar website and you intend to extend your stay at the hostel using the Vaya Card, you must coordinate this with the hostel and subject to its approval, therefore it is very advisable to book directly and not through an intermediary.

What if the business does not honor the deal?

Check the business advertisement for the name of the owner or manager and contact him or ask the employee to contact the business owner. If the business still does not honor the discount, you must contact us and inform us. The business owner will be required to honor the deal or he will be removed from the website.

What if I am not satisfied with the service or product I received?

The card provides benefits and discounts in businesses that our community of travelers recommended and with a high rating on the Booking and TripAdvisor websites, but is not responsible for the quality of the service and the quality of the product. Vaya Card will do everything in its power to bring in quality business owners and a business owner who provides bad service or poor product quality will be removed from the club.
